This Privacy Policy applies to the HiveMoms.com website ("the Website") owned or controlled by HiveMoms, Inc. ("HiveCo"). It covers information collected at the Website, including information provided by or pertaining to activities of members of the Website ("Members") and non-member visitors to the Website ("Visitors").

LEVELS OF ACCESS/PRIVACY

1. Information available to You, the Account Holder, only
   1. The private portion of your Profile Information stored in MyHive.
   2. The password-protected MyHive webpages that you have customized.
2. Information available to public (including all Members and Visitors)
   1. Your username and photograph.
   2. The contents of your Public Profile pages, including the feedback provided for you.
   3. The contents of your Co-Op pages, if you have created a Co-Op on the Website that has been designated for public access (the "Public Co-Op Pages").
3. Information available to Members by choice
1. Your real name will be shared with those Members with whom you have chosen to initiate contact, or whose initiation of contact you have responded to.
2. You should only upload as much of your contact information as you are comfortable sharing on a selective basis. Your uploaded contact information will be kept private, and shown only to those other members of HiveMoms with whom you choose to trade a co-op favor or a paid job. Such other members may be part of the same HiveMoms co-op as you, or may be paid caregivers whom you choose to engage for childcare services.

USE OF INFORMATION

4. Profile Information
   We use the personally identifiable information that you have submitted to operate and maintain the Website, including the flagging of any specific information or activity. This is to provide to you the general and customized features and functionality of the Website, to monitor and improve the quality of the Website, to comply with and monitor compliance with our Terms of Use, and to create new features, functionality and services and improve overall user experience, by storing, tracking and analyzing user activity, preferences and trends.
5. User Name
   In general, your user name (not your real name or email address) is displayed to others on the Website. Exceptions are set out in paragraph 3 above. HiveMoms is not responsible if any Member publishes your real name and contact information on the public Co-Op pages. However, upon your request, we will be glad to remove such information from said Co-Op pages.
6. Email Addresses
   1. We do not use your email address to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out. We may, however, use your email address without further consent:
      1. For Website-related or administrative purposes, such as notifying you of major Website changes or for customer service purposes.
      2. To forward to you the invitations or other messages you receive on the Website.
   2. If you invite friends to open an account on the Website, your friends' email addresses will only be used on a one-time basis to facilitate the invitation. It will not be used for any other marketing purpose, unless we obtain additional consent.
7. Non-Personally Identifiable Information
   We use certain non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous user usage data, cookies, IP addresses, browser type, clickstream data, etc.) to operate and maintain the Website, including the flagging of any specific information or activity. This is to provide to you the general and customized features and functionality of the Website, to monitor and improve the quality of the Website, to comply with and monitor compliance with our Terms of Use, and to create new features, functionality and services and improve overall user experience, by storing, tracking and analyzing user activity, preferences and trends.
8. Cookies, gifs and such
   We use cookies, clear gifs, and log file information to: (a) store information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Website; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) monitor the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; (d) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, pages viewed, etc.; and (e) track your entries, submissions, and status in site-related activities or programs.

THIRD PARTY AND THIRD PARTY WEBSITE

11. Sharing Information With Third Party Vendors
    We employ third parties to perform functions on our behalf; examples include hosting or operating the Website, sending e-mail and/or other communications, credit card identity verification and payment processing, etc. These third parties may have access to your personally identifiable information for the purpose of performing such functions on the Website's behalf.
12. Targeted Advertising
    1. HiveCo allows other companies, called third-party ad servers or ad networks, to serve advertisements within the Website. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on the Website. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to personalize the advertising content you see.
    2. The Website does not provide any personally identifiable information to these third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out. However, please note that if an advertiser asks the Website to show an advertisement to a certain audience (for example, men ages 18-34) or audience segment (for example, men ages 18-24 who have viewed certain channels of content) and you respond to that advertisement, the advertiser or ad-server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach. The advertiser may also use information regarding your use of the Website, such as the number of times you viewed an ad (but not any personally identifiable information), to determine which ads to deliver to you.
    3. You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers or ad networks (see links below) for more information on their practices and for instructions on how to opt-out of certain practices. HiveMoms' Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, such other advertisers or web sites. Any data obtained by third-party ad servers subsequently shared with HiveMoms is maintained and dealt with by HiveMoms in accordance with this privacy policy.
    4. The Website currently uses Google Adsense as its sole third-party ad server.
       Google Adsense uses a proprietary DoubleClick DART cookie to help serve up relevant ads on the Website, based on your visit to the Website and other sites on the Internet. 13. Disclosure Required By Law Or For Enforcement Of Policies
    We may disclose information about our users, including your personal information, in the event we are required to respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process or other valid law enforcement measures; to comply with a legal obligation; at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation; to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing the Website and applicable laws; or to protect the legal rights, interests, or safety of the Website, our users or others.

UPDATES OF OUR PRIVACY POLICY

14. Updates of Privacy Policy
    By using the Website, you acknowledge your agreement to the terms of this Privacy Policy. From time to time, HiveCo may update this Privacy Policy, and in such instances will post the new policy on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after the posting of a revised policy signifies your acceptance to the revised policy. In this regard, the onus is on you to review this Privacy Policy regularly, to be updated on the changes.
